Wizkid's manager Godwin Tom has apologised to the artist's fans after he shared private messages sent by a female fan.
Nigerian Entertainment Today reports that the fan was labouring under the misapprehension that she was exchanging messages with Wizkid.
Tom posted the following apology on Twitter:
"Regarding my recent post… I have apologized to the young lady and explained that she has been interacting with a fake Wizkid on Facebook.
"I respect and appreciate those that contacted me regarding this matter and those that were quick to judge...
"And to those that have felt disappointed in my posts and responses, I sincerely apologize. Have a great weekend guys!"
