The injured pupils were treated in a private hospital before being taken to the General Hospital in Ota. Mr Rotimi Rahmon, Chairman, Ado Odo/Ota Local Government Area (LGA), visited the family of the deceased and expressed regrets over the unfortunate incident.
He also asked all headmasters in the LGA to ensure that any structure or object that could endanger the lives of pupils were removed from school compounds.
The chairman noted that the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) had completed the rehabilitation of two classroom blocks in the school.
Rahmon added that the SUBEB had equally constructed 15 new classrooms and fully rehabilitated 71 others in the LGA as part of the 500 it constructed across the 20 LGAs.
Rahmon appealed to all residents of the local government to maintain peace as the government would continue to act in the best interest of the people.
